'Operation Toofaan 2.0' for a Drug-Free Kerala: Flag Hosting Held in Chakkittapara
Chakkittapara: As part of the state-wide initiative ‘Operation Toofaan 2.0’ aimed at creating a drug-free Kerala, a flag-hosting ceremony was held in the Chakkittapara Grama Panchayat. The event was held upholding the message: “Forward for a Drug-Free Kerala – With the strength of youth, with the support of society.”
Chakkittapara Grama Panchayat President Smt. Molly Thomas hoisted the flag. The event witnessed the participation of people from various walks of life, including grama panchayat public representatives, officials from various government departments, police and excise officers, teachers, students, youth, Kudumbashree members, and employees.
Operation Toofaan 2.0 aims to prevent the use and spread of drugs, keep youth and students away from substance abuse, and strengthen collective community intervention. It was announced at the event that coordinated efforts of various departments—including local self-government institutions, police, excise, and the education department—along with public participation, will be ensured in anti-drug initiatives.
Further programs will be organized in the Chakkittapara Grama Panchayat limits to strengthen anti-drug awareness and preventive activities moving forward.
